Minueto ( en el estilo galante) 1939

Malcolm McLaren has died, probably the most hated human being on the Punk subculture. He died on my birthday, while I was studying the songs from Room Full of Strangers, an Avant-Garde-Arty-Rock-Punk band with a baseball bat. Punk is not dead, is still on the garage, on the streets, on bars, even at some theater… near you.
I played punk when I was 15. Exploited, Sex Pistols, The Ramones, Clash, Husker Du… and all those bands that have the influence of the groups I mentioned before. I was there for a brief period of time. I was there when the movement was born, according to Wikipedia “The first ongoing music scene that was assigned the punk label appeared in New York between 1974 and 1976”. Well I was there, and here I am, playing bass in a band with Punk in its veins with an attractive performance on stage, very theatrical, visceral, sometimes absurd, interesting image, dark and sarcastic. I’ve never thought to play in a band like this one, I was involved in classic rock, alternative rock, grunge, rock in Spanish, pop, folk, classical music, you name it, but never involved with an band with an original identity. Right now we are rehearsing their old material, and creating some new songs that have some atmospheric and psychedelic vibe which will be performed on stage next March the 14th in the Cameo theater in an Arty party here in Orlando. The mouse is going to have some nightmares that night, or maybe he will join us and show his dark side, because everybody has one, even him, for sure. So, don’t be afraid of 5 ski masks on stage, just dig the show.
